ASME SA 213 Grade T1 Specification

ASME SA 213 Grade T1 Alloy Steel Seamless Tubes are Carbon Steel Tubes with subsequent addition of chromium, molybdenum and sometimes vanadium are known as chrome moly Tubes. ASME Specification alloy steel Tubes are used for high temperature service applications. Seamless Alloy Steel Tubes according to ASME SA 213 Grade T1 are reheated and furnished in full annlealed,isothermal annealed or normalised quenched and tempered condition. ASME SA 213 Grade T1 Alloy Steel Seamless Tubes have a typical chemistry with additions of 0.44-0.65 Molybdenum. Bearing minimum tensile strength of 415 Mpa ASME SA 213 Grade T1 Tubes have a minimum yield strength of 205 Mpa.

Packaging

Marking

ASME SA 213 Grade T1 Alloy Steel Seamless Tubes is marked with tube type, heat number, steel grade and size. Information is repeated along the whole length of the tube. Other markings, such as stamping, can be made on request. Bundles are also labeled with a tag having info both alphanumeric and by bar code.

FEDERAL

WWP-404c is similar to ASTM A-53 except that Government inspection and continuous identification marking of electric weld and seamless is mandatory. It covers black and galvanized welded and seamless pipe for flanging, bending, and coiling and for use with fresh water, oil, steam, air, and gas on shore plus a limited number of shipboard uses. Sizes 1/8 inch through 24 inch.WWP-406c is a federal specification comparable to ASTM A-120 (withdrawn 1988). Mills can certify that A-120 pipe in a distributor-s stock meets all the requirements of WWP-406c.

A.W.W.A.

C-200 covers black welded and seamless pipe intended for the conveyance of water in sizes 6 inch and larger. Specification prescribes hydrostatic test pressures for sizes of pipe covered. Tensile, flattening, and bending tests are required.

In addition to the marking specified in Specification A 999/A 999M, the marking should have the length, an additional symbol -S-, if ASME SA 213 Grade T1 Alloy Steel Seamless Tubes conforms to any of the Supplementary Requirements S1 to S6, the schedule number of the pipe is ordered to a schedule number viz. Wall Thickness : the minimum wall thickness at any point or end on ASME SA 213 pipes and tubes shall not be greater than 12.5% under the nominal thickness specified.
Inner Diameter: For pipe ordered in inside diameter, the inside diameter shall not vary more than ñ 1% from the required/specified inside diameter.

The Manufacturer shall provide Material Test certificate of inspection to the purchaser stating that the material has been manufactured, sampled, tested, and inspected in accordance with ASME SA 213 Grade T1( including year of issue), and has satisfied all the requirements of ASME SA 213.

The minimum elongation are computed values for each 1-32 in. [0.8 mm] decrease in wall thickness. Where the wall thickness lies between two values shown above, the minimum elongation value shall be determined by the following equations.
For Grades 18Cr-2Mo, T91, and T92: E = 32t + 10.00 [E = 1.25t + 10.00].
For all other ferritic: E = 48t + 15.00 [E = 1.87t + 15.00].
